Early Childhood Inclusion Service
For ages
Does your child have a diagnosed disability? Or does your child need help with their development?
Tasmania has a free service for children aged 0 to 4 years who need extra support.
It’s called the Early Childhood Inclusion Service (ECIS).
Their main aim is to help you and your child enjoy and take part in everyday life.
ECIS supports families with their child’s learning, in local community settings. This may include home visits and group programs for parents and children.
A skilled teacher will work with you and your child to get the support you need. This might include an education plan, information and advice.
They can also help you and your child take part in your local Launching into Learning session.
ECIS will help support your child into Kindergarten too.
If you have concerns about your child, getting them extra help as soon as possible is important.
ECIS staff welcome your phone call or email. They can talk to you about what support your child may need. Contact your local ECIS for more information.
